Rating checks

Vatican tour rating rules

A tour needs at least 4.5 stars from 30 or more reviews. Its separate Viator score is checked too. A combined score can hide a weaker result on Viator.

A separate Viator score below 4.5 excludes a tour once it has 5 reviews there. Tours unrelated to the Vatican are also removed, including food tours nearby and churches in other cities.

Options and prices

Vatican tour options and prices

Each comparison uses one named option from a tour listing. Your price and route can change with the option you choose. Group size appears only when it is given for that option.

Prices are per adult for a party of 2. The usual lowest price is taken from the 14th cheapest day in the coming year. A sale lasting only a few days cannot set that price. The price for your date appears on the booking page.

The editor compares tours through listings and reviews. The editor has not taken every tour. Cards include a drawback to help you decide if the option suits your visit.

The official Museums ticket costs €25 online and includes the Sistine Chapel. That gives you an admission price to compare with the extra cost of a guide. St Peter's entry alone is free.

The site earns a commission when you book through its links. Your price stays the same. If an option has changed, you can send the details through the contact page.
