The official price list has no separate Sistine Chapel ticket. Your Museums ticket costs €20 at the door or €25 online. Both cover the chapel on the day you choose.
The €5 online fee buys the official Skip the Line entry. It bypasses the ticket queue; security checks still apply. Your ticket cannot be refunded, so the date matters.
Reduced tickets cost €10 at the door or €15 online. Children under 7 enter free. Ages 7 to 18 qualify for a reduction, as do students through age 25 with an institute document.
What to do: If you need a set time, buy the €25 Museums ticket at tickets.museivaticani.va. The €20 door ticket saves €5 if you can allow for the ticket queue.
Getting in
Can you just walk into the Sistine Chapel?
You enter the chapel through the Vatican Museums on Viale Vaticano. There is no separate chapel entrance for your visit. The queue in St Peter's Square leads to the Basilica.
The full Museums route is 7 km, though you need not walk it all. You still pass through galleries to reach the chapel. Your visit ends before closing because the halls must be cleared 30 minutes earlier.
